Savioursí Day 2001 at Muhammad Farms

In celebration of the Annual Savioursí Day celebration held the last weekend of February every year Muhammad Farms is spearheading a three day "Farm, Food and Family" Weekend beginning on Friday night February 23, 2001.

Friday, February 23, 2001 at 6:00 p.m.

Place: City Hall at the corner of Main and Lee Streets in Dawson, Ga.

"Your Future and the Future of Dawson": A town hall meeting of the youth of Terrell County as we move into the 21st Century.

Questions to be discussed include: 1. Is it time for the "Ballot or the Bullet? 2. What is your definition of success? 3. How do you plan to be successful?, 4. Are the "old folks" in the way or can they help? 5. What do you like most about Dawson? 6. What do you dislike most about Dawson?

Then on that Saturday we will have workshops centering around "Farm, Food and Family"

10:00 a.m.--Pick your own vegetables and farm tour of Muhammad Farms

Place: Bronwood, Ga. 13 miles from Dawson.

2:00 p.m.-- "Farm, Food and Family" workshops held at the Terrell County Government Center, Hwy 82 E., Dawson, Ga.

Topics: 1.Eating to Live & Not to Die, 2. Whatís Going on with the Food Youíre Eating? (Mad Cows, Genetic Engineering, etc.), 3. Why are the Black Farmers Going out of Business? 4. Alternative ways to Generate Income from Farm Land, 5. Hooking up Vegetable Coops with Consumer Coops and Markets.
